Steve became the fourth generation of the Wunderlich family to enter the family business when Wunderlich’s moved to the current location at 304 23rd St. in 1981.
The Wunderlich family has been serving Columbus for many generations. Fred and Steve are proud to provide catering services for any occasion with great home-cooked food and excellent service.
Christa moved his family to a ranch in Erickson, Nebraska in 1918. In 1933, the Wunderlich family moved back to Columbus and opened Wunderlich’s Friendly Bar located at 24th Avenue and 13th Street.
Max Sr. was the second generation to join the business at that time. In 1946, the business moved to 1264 25th Avenue and in 1955 became a full-service restaurant known as Wunderlich’s Good Eating Kitchen. Fred became the third generation in 1972.
The Wunderlich family has perfected the crafts of cooking and catering through generations in the business. You will love the results!

Christa and Rosa Wunderlich started the family business in Columbus around 1908. They opened the Park Café and the first Wunderlich’s Friendly Bar located on 2403 13th Street across from Frankfort Square.
